QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- High
School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- Must
be outgoing, friendly and enjoy working with older adults from various
economic backgrounds.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- Professional
demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude.
- Possess
clear, concise effective written and oral skills.
- Ability
to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to visitors and other
employees.
- Ability
to maintain confidentially pertaining issues involving visitors to the
center.
TASKS:
- Provide
In-Home Respite and/or Personal Care
- Bathing,
toileting, dressing and grooming of patients
- Provide
meal preparation and feeding if necessary
- Light
duty housework, dust, vacuum etc.
- Laundry,
shopping as designated by the Plan of Care
- Walking
assistance
- Other
duties as assigned as may be related to the position and the patient Plan
of Care.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability
to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
- May be
required from time to time to work evenings or weekends to meet the needs
of the agency.
- Ability
to work independently and maintain satisfactory progress in multiple assignments.
- Must
be willing to carry out the vision and goals of Senior Monongalians, Inc.
SUPERVISION: The
Community Care Coordinator supervises the Home Health Aide.
