Adult Day Services

When people hear the words adult day services, many people conjure up the vision of seniors sitting around in rocking chairs with bibs on and blank looks on their faces.  They believe it is a “day care”.  This is absolutely not the case in the L. June Morgan Adult Day Services program.

Our goal is to maintain the personal diginity and self esteem of our clients while providing a safe environment for them to be in while their caregiver is at work or school.  During the day our clients can enjoy socializing with peers, projects, walks in the mall, participation in activities in the main senior center, and quiet time.  They will also enjoy a nutritious lunch prepared at Senior Monongalians as well as morning or afternoon snacks.

The Adult Day Services program gives peace of mind to caregivers, because their loved one is cared for while stilling feeling like a productive member of the community.

Hours are flexible.  A variety of payment options and financial aid are available to make this service more cost effective and convenient for caregivers.

Services for Veterans

The L. June Morgan Adult Day Services Program has received certification from the Veteran’s Administration by offering an atmosphere in which seniors can thrive.  Throughout the day, the seniors will socialize with other seniors, participate in programs offered at the senior center, and have a nutritious lunch.
