QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
- R.N. Degree with
current West Virginia
license. Masters level preferred but not required.
- Must be outgoing,
friendly and enjoy working with older adults from various economic
backgrounds.
INTERPERSONAL
SKILLS:
- Professional demeanor
in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude.
- Possess clear, concise
effective written and oral skills.
- Ability to effectively
express thoughts, ideas and concepts to visitors and other employees.
- Ability to maintain
confidentially pertaining issues involving visitors to the center.
CLERICAL
SKILLS:
- Ability to perform
general clerical duties, operate office machines, work under pressure and
accurately handle detail work.
- Knowledge and ability
to use computer terminal.
TASKS:
- As a Leader of the
Nurse Management Team the R.N. will oversee the day-to-day supervision of
the Community Care Program.
- Document and prepare
appropriate back up documentation for monthly billing in a timely manner.
- Retrieve daily messages
from Automated Time Clock if needed.
- Recruit, hire and train
motivated caring employees to carry out the goals of the agency.
- Provide the motivation
and supervision to the Community Care Program to develop a well-managed
program that provides a professional
training program that empowers employees to be accountable,
professional and attentive to the needs of the patients we serve.
- From time to time
provide coverage for Adult Day Services and/or Case Management.
- Provide home visits and
assessments as required by funding sources.

Serve as direct liaison with Medicaid Waiver personnel and case
management agencies.
- Other duties as
assigned as may be related to the position.
OTHER
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift or move
up to 25 pounds.
- May be required from
time to time to work evenings or weekends to meet the needs of the agency.
- Ability to work
independently and maintain satisfactory progress in multiple assignments.
- Must be willing to
carry out the vision and goals of Senior Monongalians, Inc.
SUPERVISION: The Executive Director supervises the Registered
Nurse.
