Call for Nominations

The 2008 Robert W. “Bob” Jackson Distinguished Service Award will be presented to two volunteers at the annual senior conference to be held at Cedar Lakes on May 28-30, 2008.

Mr. Jackson, for whom the awards are named, was a tireless advocate for the seniors of West Virginia and exemplified the extraordinary giving spirit that makes our state great. It is a tribute to him that these awards recognize and honor meritorious contributions of individuals committed to improving the quality of life for older West Virginians. The individuals nominated should have demonstrated leadership through improvements in policy, planning, advocacy, or service.

To sponsor an individual you must complete a nomination form and a narrative which summarizes the candidate’s activities and contributions toward improving the quality of life of older West Virginians. All entries must be submitted no later than April 18, 2008. The recipients will be selected by a committee appointed by the Bureau of Senior Services.
